Afraid To Shoot Strangers by Iron Maiden, the complete guitar lesson for all Iron Maiden fans.
In this lesson i will show you how to play the song note by note in a very easy to follow format. The song is aimed more at the intermediate player, due to number of challenging guitar riffs that Dave Murray and Janick Gers created for this epic track.
The song was never released as a single but is still a firm favorite for live fans ever since the track was released on the Fear of The Dark album.
Fear of the Dark is the ninth studio album released by English heavy metal band Iron Maiden. Released on 11 May 1992, it was their third studio release to top the UK albums chart and the last to feature Bruce Dickinson as the group’s lead vocalist until his return in 1999. I know i should’t say this but Dickinson should never have left the group. What was he thinking??
It was also the first album to be produced by bassist and band founder Steve Harris.
The song is from the point of few of a soldier preparing for battle. He has doubts about fighting for the country and is afraid that he’ll have to kill and shoot strangers.[This song] was written about the people that fought in the Gulf War. It’s a song about how shitty war is, and how shitty war is that it’s started by politicians and has to be finished by ordinary people that don’t really want to kill anybody. – Bruce Dickinson.
